The Present (series of 3)
The artworks take viewers through the familiar confined spaces of our everyday. It invites one to consider our approach towards perceiving nature, and to reflect on the sensations, memories, and relationships formed in space and time. The perspective views from corridors and staircases in these artworks one could experience a 3 dimensional at the same time a 2 dimensional print on fabric. However, when one is observing the details of stitches created on these works, it is a moment of present that is in a 3 dimensional.

Stacks & Blocks

The artwork is inspired by fleeting moments of lights and shadows in nature seen from the confined of an apartment block in cities (Stacks) and also our unique HDB (Housing Development Board) Blocks in Singapore.
